We have begun! We are starting our world travel with an intro trip to Japan. Nathan and Sam and I are waiting in SFO to board our flight to Tokyo/Narita. After the boys and I had massages at the Xpres Spa here ;) we are ready to get flying.
There are some things that we will be doing in this trip that we will do next school year in our travels: going to LDS Churches in different countries around the world, starting on Sunday in Tokyo, riding trains in the country, having leisure time on our own to explore and having days that are more structured with a guide and a driver, and seeing, tasting and doing the amazing things that each country invites us to enjoy.
Sam has always wanted to go to Japan. He has loved everything from Bonzais to the clean lined architecture and sushi!! I have warned Sam that Japan doesn't have the same Americanized sushi that you think they would- never saw a sushi roll when I was there last time. But, looking forward to finding a sushi conveyor belt restaurant.
