I got up early and decided we needed to make the most of our last day and I promised Sam we would do something fun. After polling many people everyone said the best excursion on the island was the island hopping and I had heard about a little island called Magic Island where you can cliff jump. I set out this morning with the sun shining to make a plan. I moved forward with booking a speed boat, which would be good to get us there fast and less chance of getting sea sick. A full parasailing speed boat picked us up on the dock and the whole gang decided to join Sam and I. After a quick turn around when they forgot to bring each of us a snorkel we relaunched again and made our way to our first snorkel spot. It was way out in the rough water and wasn't expecting much but it turned out to be really good with a variety of coral and colorful fish. We then jetted over to Magic Island where it was too rough to dock and they were going to turn away and we were like no way, we can swim there. So we all jumped overboard and Riley brought his Gopro and we swam for shore. There is an entrance fee to come onto the small island that is covered with bamboo huts and bamboo stilted diving launch pads with wooded diving boards. There were 8, 9 and 10 meter diving boards. We all jumped off the boards into really rough waters with BIG splashing waves. We then would swim and haul ourselves against the rough waves up a bamboo ladder in the water and back onto the rocky crag. We had fun jumping and then swam back to our boat. We then headed to Coral Gardens, another dive spot. It was awesome with tons of colorful coral and bright blue sea stars and a variety of coral and fish. It was so beautiful and again we were way out in the ocean and the waves were really rough but below the surface was clear with lots of little cropping islands of coral. Sam and I agreed that it might have been the best snorkeling we had done.
On our way back Sam and I went parasailing, since we were on the parasail boat. We were lifted up and once up the driver started cruising and we were swinging around. I kept thinking could I live if the shoot collapsed right now and we went plummeting into this rough ocean. He decided to dip us as we were coming in but I wasn't up for it because I was getting so sea sick. Allie took one look at my about to hurl and decided that she shouldn't parasail. Thankfully I was able to calm my stomach and watched Sam go back up with Riley. They were flying high and being tossed too and frow from the wind. They brought the boys back down and thought it would be funny to totally dunk them and then actually drag them a little. I could see Sam was kind of freaked out since they did hold them down for a bit! They got up and they dunked them once more and then brought them in. Sam was feeling sick by then but it was still a good time. We made our way back to the hotel and drank a couple of cokes and were better. It was nice to chill on the beach and doze in and out.
Sam had a school meeting with April and during that hour I met Riley and Klane on the tennis court for a Chinese Doubles match. After having a couple of wins :) #gotlucky we wrapped up and I headed back to the room. When Sam as done it was almost sunset time. We went down to the beach and enjoyed the last day on the beach and swam and played some cards.
For dinner we ate at Rami which was a treetop restaurant with a nice view and we could enjoy the moon and the fireworks show that happened in recognition of the wedding party that was happening on the beach. We hung out and talked for a while and then made our way to the lobby where we play a few rounds of Kemps. Me and Amber were a team and we ruled the game. It was a good day for wins for me. We enjoyed our last night with our travel buddies. Tomorrow we are off to Chiang Rai, Thailand and meeting up with Kendall on our change of plane in Bangkok. Early morning so headed to bed!
